The Hutchison family can be traced back to Kirkliston (West Lothian, Scotland) in the mid 1700s. At various times between the 1700s and 1800s family members were also called Hutchie, Hutcheson, Hutchieson and Hutchey. The family's origins prior to 1761 are currently unknown, but their y-DNA haplogroup (G2a with double DYS19) is very unusual for Scotland.

You will find details on all the known descendents of Andrew Hutcheson (Cir. 1735-?) on this website, as well as information on all my other ancestors and their known descendents.
